The issue of sexual harassment of women at workplace is primarily an issue of discrimination and inequality of women to have equal opportunity for employment. Any form of sexual harassment of women in workplace needs to be eliminated forthwith to provide a conducive work environment for women with equal treatment. It is an issue of human rights of women and it has always been a thematic focus in all strategic endeavor of ISD since its inception. As part of the activities the ISD building a strong rapport with media institution and hosts an online complaint system and lunching a help line number for working women. ISD has received many telephone calls from the women as well as the relatives and friends of the survivors. These women have been counseled to take suggested action. However, many women of domestic violence are taking help of the help line. These cases are being referred to Maadhyam Women Support Centre, run by ISD functioning from the premises of Deputy Commissioner of Police in Bhubaneswar-Cuttack commissionarate.
