The organizational structure of the Institute for Social Development (ISD) is designed to ensure effective governance and transparency in adherence to its Memorandum of Association and Rules and Regulations of the Society..
General Body:
The General Body is the supreme decision-making authority of ISD, responsible for formulating policies and guiding the overall direction of the organization. At present, it consists of 16 members, representing diverse sections of society. The General Body meets annually to review progress and outline the strategic initiatives to be undertaken for the coming year.
Governing Body:
The Governing Body, comprising 9 elected members, is responsible for the management and execution of the organization’s policies and programs. It is headed by the Director, who also serves as the Chief Functionary of ISD. Notably, more than half of the Governing Body members are women, reflecting the organization’s commitment to promoting women’s leadership and participation in governance.
