The issue of\u00a0sexual harassment of women at the workplace<\/strong>\u00a0is fundamentally one of\u00a0discrimination and gender inequality<\/strong>, denying women their\u00a0right to equal opportunity and dignity in employment<\/strong>. Eliminating all forms of sexual harassment is essential to ensure a\u00a0safe, respectful, and conducive work environment<\/strong>\u00a0for women.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Recognizing this as a\u00a0human rights concern<\/strong>, ISD has prioritized the prevention of workplace harassment as a\u00a0core thematic focus<\/strong>\u00a0since its inception. As part of its initiatives, ISD has built strong collaborations with\u00a0media institutions<\/strong>, launched an\u00a0online complaint system<\/strong>, and introduced a\u00a0helpline number<\/strong>\u00a0for working women seeking support and guidance.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Through these efforts, ISD has received numerous calls from women, as well as their relatives and friends, seeking assistance. The organization provides\u00a0counseling and guidance<\/strong>\u00a0to help survivors take informed action. Many women facing\u00a0domestic violence<\/strong>\u00a0have also reached out through the helpline. Such cases are promptly referred to the\u00a0Maadhyam Women Support Centre<\/strong>, operated by ISD from the premises of the\u00a0Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissionerate<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
